​Lord, good morning. Thank you for being here.

Dear child, I am always here. What is on your mind today?

Father God, I just want to confirm my decision to fully enter semi-retirement, which I call “Portfolio Life.”

Dear child, I have already given my blessing for this, you have made this decision, and I will honor it.

Lord, I don’t want this to be my decision. I want this to be yours.

THE FREEDOM TO CHOOSE

Child, you have the freedom to choose, and you have chosen wisely.

Really Lord? It seems too good to be true! I am very excited about starting a new season of life with you. I don’t know how much time I have left on this earth, but at 66 years old, I know the end is not too far away, and I have worked so hard for so many years. I would really like to slow down.

Yes, my child. You have made work your God for many years. And the last seven, you have progressively surrendered more and more of yourself to me. Now is the time to give me everything.

Ok Father, my Lord and Master. You have all of me, right here, right now. I am completely yours. I am sorry that I have put work, money, houses, net worth, and many other things ahead of you. I repent for not having you first for my entire walk with you.

WHAT ABOUT YOU MAKING ALL MY DECISIONS FOR ME

Child, Buddy is leading you to a surrendered life. But there are plenty of times I give you freedom to choose. Sometimes, I want to make decisions for you. Sometimes, I want you to choose. Seek me for all decisions. I will let you know what decisions I want you to make.

That resonates with me. Thank you Lord. But I will seek you for all decisions first.

That would be a wise choice.

TURN THE PAGE!

Dear child, as your wife says: “Turn the page.”

Yes, Lord. Today is a new day. Tomorrow is past. The future is unknown. But I have you today, and the many, many blessings that go with having you. What incredible gifts you have showered on me and my family. Thank you for the thousands upon thousands of blessings. You are an awesome, perfect, totally loving being, and I long for the day to praise you non-stop, all the time, in joy and ecstasy.

You will see me soon. I am calling you home in a short while. Live like today is your last day on earth. Love me, yourself, and others with all your heart, soul, mind, body, and strength. With deep, reverent passion pursue me. I long for all my children to seek me continually, no matter what they are doing, no matter where they are, and no matter what their circumstance.

Yes, Father. Help me to encourage, inspire, and exhort all whom I touch, to seek you, and your will for, and in, their lives. May we all give the lives you have given us, back over to you, to be your faithful servants.

GOD’S WILL FOR US

My will for you is simple, yet profound. I want you to fully and completely surrender everything to me, without reservation. Hold nothing back. Give me all of you – your hopes, dreams, aspirations – all of you. And everything you do or say, do it for my glory, and my glory alone.

Yes Father God. Your will, not mine, be done, here on earth, as it is already in Heaven.

You have spoken well my child. May it be so in your life. Moment by moment, with each breath you take, breathe in for my glory, breathe out total surrender, and exist to serve me and my plan for your life.

BREATHE CHRIST

Yes, Father God. You have a plan for each and every one of us, and our role is to discern what your will is, in every facet of our life. Please reveal that to me, step by step, in your good and perfect time.

I am, my child. And entering semi-retirement is certainly the first step.

Praise God. I am so very happy. Thank you for my new-found freedom!

It was there all along. The door has been open, waiting for you to walk through it. Go forth, boldly, into this next chapter of the book I am writing on your heart, and with your human life.

Life could not be more exciting! Thank you Lord, my Father!
