THANKFULNESS

Father God, thank you for giving us so much for which to be thankful. Even in the midst of trials and tribulations, there is always a future and hope to which we can look forward.


Life has many ups and downs. However, we know Heaven awaits us, where there is continuous joy, total peace, and unconditional, pervasive love. What a glorious vision God has given us. It comforts us in our earthly condition, especially during difficult times. This eternal perspective gives us peace and makes us feel thankful.


Father God, thank you for the tremendous blessings you have bestowed upon us. We are grateful to be your children and under your care. Thank you for giving us a future and hope.


"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)


May we always be thankful, for we do have this amazing vision for our future. Let us not get too attached to this world, for the time is short, and “those who use the things of the world, as if not engrossed in them. For this world in its present form is passing away.” - 1 Corinthians 7:31 (NIV)


Keeping an eternal perspective helps us to be thankful, even during the difficult challenges this early life often brings us.
